This project concerns the renovation of a flat situated in an Athenian apartment block. The central challenge revolved around the reconfiguration of the core, housing the staircase and lift. The architectural objective was to establish a fluid circulation around this core, giving rise to a bold design that both connects and separates the common and private spaces. The material palette was thoughtfully adjusted to align with the apartment’s original materials, creating a seamless blend of past and present. The proposal prioritized maximizing the available space to meet the client’s needs, ensuring optimal functionality and utility.
This project was conducted in the context of Memneo Architecture and Thalia Sahinidi, co-founder, served as the project lead before her departure in 2022.
